German company Daimler AG started in Jawor (Lowersilesia Region) construction of a new Mercedes-Benz plant in Poland worth about 500 mln EUR. Here will be produced 4 cylinder engines for personal cars designed for all models from A to S line.

According to plans, this construction will be finished in 2019. Then in 2020 this plant will achieve full manufacturing power with capacity of few hundred thousand engines yearly.


There will be about 500 employees in this new plant. About 20% of them will be engineers and people with higher education and the rest of them will be workers at the manufacturing line.

This factory is constructed on the area of Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone called „Invest Park” where grounds for investments range up to 460 hectars.

It is the first Mercedes plant in Poland but in 2015 Daimler employed 247 people in Poland and reached turnover of 3,7 billion zł.

In Poland Daimler works through 6 dependent on it companies located in Warsaw, Sosnowiec, Będzin, Siedlce and Komorniki.
